Model Airplane News Crew at US Air Meet

Model Airplane News Crew at US Air Meet

It’s not often that a really big, really new event springs onto the scene, but when it happens, the Model Airplane News crew takes notice. For this first time event, Horizon Hobby pulled all the stops and the US Air Meet held at the Sanford Sea Coast Airport in Sanford, ME was a huge extravaganza of RC action and entertainment. Joining the thousands of spectators, MAN, Electric Flight, and RC Car Action editors and the Air Age Media publishers were please to stake out our turf next to the flightline. We had a wonderful time meeting many RC fans and general aviation folks who showed up to spend the weekend enjoying the festivities.

There are giant turbine jets as well as electric powered ducted fan jets, giant RC artobatic 3D machines, RC aerobatic helicopters and lots of RC cars and races for the ground pounders. Check out some of the sites we photographed. Watch for full print coverage in the next issue of MAN.
