Die Cast X magazine, the largest circulation diecast collectibles magazine, is extremely pleased to announce that they have entered an agreement to sponsor the DiecastSpace SuperConvention in 2014 and beyond. The convention will now be called “The DCX SuperConvention,” and will take place February 20-24th 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“To say that we’re excited is a huge understatement”, said Joe Kelly, Jr., Die Cast X Editor in Chief. “The SuperConvention is a high point in the collecting year, and the opportunity to partner with our good friends from Diecast Space to establish a standout, standalone collector event dedicated to the automotive collecting passion, the cars, and the people we feature in the pages of Die Cast X, is one we’ve been working toward for many months.”
As it has since 2009, the convention will also feature the induction ceremonies for the Diecast Hall of Fame. In its five years, the organization has recognized the legacies and histories of automotive icons such as George Barris, Tom Daniel, Chip Foose, Jay Leno, John Force, Richard Petty, and Mario Andretti, and honored their diecast industry counterparts like Larry Wood, Bob Rosas, Carson Lev, Chris Walker, Die Cast X editors Mike Zarnock and Joe Kelly, Jr., and others.
“We’re honored to be joining forces with Die Cast X and to brand the SuperConvention as such,” said Jeff Glasson, chairman of the Hall of Fame. “This represents a major move for two of the largest non-manufacturing brands in diecast. Our combined talents and commitment to the industry and the collectors make this is a win/win for everyone.”
